- Air cleaner

 

On lengthy journeys through dusty areas the oil bath air cleaner or the paper-element air filter must accordingly be checked more often - even daily if necessary.  The oil bath air cleaner must be refilled with engine oil each time it is cleaned.  With the paper air filter the paper element must be beaten clean or replaced. This applies also when a cyclone filter has been installed.

 

- "V" belt

 

The "V" belt must be checked daily at high outside temperatures. It must be replaced at the first sign of wear.

Remove hexagon nut from the generator pulley. Replace "V" belt. Rearrange spacer washers according to belt tension.	The tension is increased by removing spacer washers and reduced by Inserting them. All the spacer washers must be retained on the pulley hub. Check "V" belt tension by means of thumb pressure: deflection approx. 10 cm

Replace "V" belt after loosening the generator.

 

Check “V” belt tension by means of thumb pressure:

deflection approx. 15 mm

 

Adjust "V" belt tension by turning the generator.
